zippers...

I saw these great zippers at Willow Lane Quilting. The owner Priscilla Knoble was recently featured on "The Quilt Show" speaking about Japanese quilting. They are excellent quality and I could not resist the pulls which are tiny sewing machines, irons and scissors. Mine are going in a version of this great jacket...

but they would work well in any quilted bag or pouch...

  1. They are awesome! I didn't know they came with the charm pulls.
Amazing you are making a very cool jacket, I would never attempt it. What type of material?

    1. Aren't they? Can't choose between some kind of heavier twill or whether to be braver and do it in leather. Advice? Anyway, garments are easier to sew. Learning to quilt has been quite humbling!

  2. Adorable! I love those different pulls. I have made few dresses by following patterns in the past but never a jacket. You are brave!

    1. Thanks Sujata but there is much more bravery in making your own quilts than following a sewing pattern. I hope these are not famous last words:)

  3. Love those zip pulls! And the jacket pattern looks fab. (Biggest downside of living in the tropics is I have little use for outerwear... and I LOVE jackets, and stash jacket patterns that I'll likely never make. Oh well, I will enjoy seeing how yours turns out!)
