an ideal day...

Given Mr. Wounded's lack of mobility, yesterday we decided to go for a drive in the country to take in some of this...

Purchase some ridiculously discounted yardage of this...

And later consume an amount far more than was prudent of this...

All in all, it was an ideal day. Hope you are having a great weekend too!

the perfect storm...

This book...

Written by the awesome Sarah Fielke formerly one half of Material Obsession in Australia.

This quilt...

Rarely use other people's patterns (mainly because I suck at following directions) but "Flock Together"   calls to me.

This fabric...

Field Bouquet by Kaffe Fassett which arrived last week.

And lastly, this software...
By Bear Paw Productions which makes sewing over 1000 1" half square triangle squares seem remotely possible... Wish me luck!

Loulouthi Love

Ordered myself a fabric treat. It is a fat quarter bundle of Anna Maria Horner's new line Loulouthi from Hawthorne Threads. Apparently, it means "flower" in Greek. I don't speak that language but in my native tongue English it means "simply gorgeous"! Am thinking another tile based design... Not sure what background... Any thoughts???

On the home health care front, the dear patient is mending.
Am trying to channel Florence:
But sadly sometimes feel more like Kathy Bates in Misery.

I am in awe of nursing professionals. You are saints who walk amongst us!
